Tower Technician – II

Job Responsibilities:

  • Have working knowledge of construction antennas, RF equipment, coax, waveguide, connectors, towers,
  • and grounding/cad welding, microwave antenna alignments, sweep test, current/voltage/resistance tests and other technical duties that are required by the projects specifications
  • Will be involved in the construction of communication systems, towers and sites
  • Require safely operating heavy equipment, handheld power tools and other tolls or equipment deemed necessary to complete the task at hand
  • Required to complete general constructional duties that include but not limited to, shoveling, concrete work, reinforcement bar work, rigging, tag line operations and hoisting operations
  • Climb towers to assist in installation, maintenance, replacement, and troubleshooting of wireless equipment based on direction from Foreman, Manager, and/or experienced team members on tower and rooftops structures
  • Work outside in all weather conditions
  • Will adhere to the company's Health, Safety and Environment Program making sure projects are completed safely, properly and efficiently, (including but not limited to): RF, PPE, Fall Protection, Right to Know, Aerial Lift, Hand & Power Tools, Safe Lifting
  • Ability to travel regularly and flexible to work long unpredictable hours to include weekends as needed

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); related trade school education

  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
  • Experience in tower-rigging
  • Valid driver's license with MVR record, drug testing and background check required
  • 2 plus years of experience climbing and working on Towers
  • Can provide certification in Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Relocation required
